Jeffery Gerhardt, DDS
Dr. Gerhardt completed the Academy of GP Orthodontics’s 12-session hands-on course in orthodontics in 1998. Since that time, he has served as an orthodontic instructor and host dentist for the Academy’s hands-on, orthodontic courses in Austin.
Dr. Gerhardt is a Diplomat of the Academy of Gp Orthodontics, which is its highest recognition.
Dr. Gerhardt has instructed over 300 general and pediatric dentists (and even, on occasion, oral surgeons who want to learn orthodontics) in orthodontics at his office.
He has guest lectured on orthodontics at conferences across the United States and has authored numerous scholarly articles on orthodontics.
Dr. Gerhardt graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 with a degree in business management. In 1992, he graduated from the Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in San Antonio, Texas.
In 1996, he opened his general practice in Cedar Park, Texas, a suburb just north of Austin. Advanced Family Dentistry has two general dentists, a periodontist, and two oral surgeons on staff.
Dr. Gerhardt is a general dentist but limits his practice primarily to orthodontics.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Association for Orthodontics, the Academy of GP Orthodontics, and is a Board Member of the Capital Area Dental Society.
Steve Snodell, DDS, MS – Orthodontic Specialist
Dr. Snodell graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio. He served in the United States Air Force for 3 years where he completed a General Practice Residency.
Dr. Snodell completed an Orthodontic Residency at the University of Oklahoma Dental School in 1991. He also completed the Invisalign Master’s Program.
Dr. Snodell has published scholarly articles in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
He presently owns and operates Cedar Park Orthodontics in Cedar Park, TX.
Khoi Nguyen, DDS
Dr. Khoi Nguyen—who goes by “Dr. Khoi”, completed the Academy of GP Orthodontics’ 12-session hands-on course in orthodontics in 2012. He also took the GP Orthodontics’ Early Treatment course as well as courses with Dr. Brock Rondeau with Rondeau Seminars and USDI. He is a Fellow at the Academy of GP Orthodontics, the second-highest recognition offered. Dr. Khoi also holds memberships in the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Khoi’s wife is also a dentist.
Dr. Khoi graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Electrical Engineering, and earned his DDS from The Baylor College of Dentistry, now renamed Texas A&M School of Dentistry. He also served in the Army, where he served as a Tank Platoon Leader in his first assignment on active duty. Dr. Khoi served for five years and attained the rank of Captain.
Dr. Khoi is a general dentist, but orthodontics is his primary field. He opened a family dental office in Houston, TX and also maintains a second practice with a sole focus on orthodontic services.
Jose Franco, DDS, MS – Orthodontic Specialist & Clear Aligner Expert
Dr. Jose Franco earned a dental degree from the Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara and received an orthodontic specialty from the Universaidad Latino Americana in Mexico. After his specialty studies, he completed hospital rotations in Jerusalem, Israel followed by incorporation to the Surgeons Dentist School Costa Rica in 2005. Dr. Franco has practiced in Israel, Mexico and Costa Rica.
Prior to joining Spark, Dr. Franco worked at Align Technology from 2004 – 2019 as the Sr. Clinical manager. During this time, he lectured for Align Technology throughout America, EMEA and APAC, and was the clinician in charge of opening their new facilities globally.
